American Rescue Plan Reporting Deadline: April 30 |
- NEUs who received ARPA dollars are required to submit their first report to the U.S. Treasury by April 30. This is required even if they have not yet spent funds.
- For more deadline details, webinars on reporting, allowable uses and other important information, visit the League's webpage for ARPA reporting.
- The U.S. Treasury has issued the Final Rule, which supersedes the Interim Rule for how funds may be used. This overview of the Final Rule is a condensed version.
- One of the important updates in the Final Rule is the expanded flexibility related to the revenue loss category. Under this category, cities can claim up to $10 million (or their maximum allocation, if less) as a standard allowance to be used toward general government services and cannot include uses otherwise listed as ineligible in the Final Rule. In their report, cities must make an irrevocable decision on which method they will use if they select the revenue loss category.
